Biography

After completing his studies in Bondy in the Paris region, Philippe Collin passed the competitive medical entrance exam in Paris and was then trained by various surgeons of great renown in France, Europe and the US. He has worked at the Saint Grégoire Private Hospital in Brittany for over 15 years, and at the Victor Hugo Clinic in Paris since 2018. He and his associates host and participate in training for French and foreign surgeons and run a clinical research centre specifically dedicated to shoulder pathologies. Philippe Collin has presented his research around the world (8 presentations to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons). He received the award for best scientific presentation in Japan in 2014 at the International Congress of Shoulder Surgery. He has written numerous book chapters and over 80 scientific articles indexed on Pubmed. He is former President of the French Shoulder and Elbow Society (SoFEC), current Secretary-General of the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow (SECEC) and corresponding member of the prestigious American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES).
