Joaquin Sanchez-Sotelo, MD
Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo is appointed as Consultant, Professor, and Chair of the Division of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at Mayo Clinic. He has published over 250 articles in the peer reviewed literature and has authored a number of books and book chapters. He remains actively involved in implant design and has received a number of awards. His interests include shoulder arthroplasty, elbow arthroplasty, rotator cuff repair and its salvage procedures, elbow arthroscopy, and scapulothoracic disorders, including tendon transfers. Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo has served as board member of American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and remains actively involved with ASES. He serves as Course Co-Director of the Combined Mayo-Harvard tendon transfer course, Mayo Clinic Teach the Teachers Elbow Course, and International Advanced Course on Elbow Surgery.
